I absolutely am an advocate for the Western Astrology app, The Pattern (click link). Long before I ever learned anything about BaZi, I was introduced to this app and I believe it had its influence on me to understand that there was some truth to being able to understand yourself at a deeper level just from your birth details. It amazed me, and continues to do so to this day. I recommend purchasing the paid option after you’ve scouted out all the free materials first. I LOVED the past iterations of the app, however nowadays I feel like it is a bit too confusing and overwhelming with all of its options and its current layout. So part of me is an advocate of the simpler, more efficient and easy to navigate Pattern app of the past that I speak so dearly of.

Nevertheless, download the app and check out the ‘You’ tab. Then near the top left you can select the ‘Your Pattern’ and ‘Your transits’ section. I find the ‘Your Pattern’ section to be incredible for self-discovery. And have found the ‘Your Transits’ section to be a hit and miss over time, but the Pattern app says that it doesn’t believe in predictive astrology, I just believe they haven’t discovered BaZi yet 😝 (Lisa Donovan if you are reading this I am happy to prove you otherwise! 😝). I also enjoy using bonds and seeing the compatibility results they produce, and scrolling almost all the way down the discover page where you can learn about your Chiron, Moon/IC, and much more.

I have listed this first as I believe it’s easier to digest and more socially understood than my 2nd resource, however I have to give immense credit to resource #2 as it’s what really led me onto my current path to BaZi.

I also absolutely love Human Design and am grateful to the creator, Robert Alan Krakower, for delivering it to the world as it must have taken huge kahuna’s to do so. The introduction to Human Design blasted open my world and understanding of the mechanics of this universe.

Human Design is another incredibly amazing self-discovery tool, that helps you to understand yourself at an expanded level on top of the Pattern app. I advise using both in conjunction to massively upgrade your self-understanding of yourself, which in turn, allows you to develop great self compassion for yourself; and therefore others; as a result.

As woo-woo or hoo-ha as it may first sound, I believe there is some real truth behind it all and its understanding of how we become who we are, how this universe operates, and how we are almost ‘stamped’ by the neutrinos passing through upon birth that create our unique personalities/lives.

I experienced my first, real spiritual awakening reading this book and it has permanently changed me forever for the better.

The best free resource I have found (I haven’t explored Human Design in the last few years so there may be better out there now) is ahumandesign.com. Why I like this page is they give pretty much all the information in-depth for free. You generate your birth chart, then duplicate the tab on your browser, and hover over the ‘attributes’ dropdown menu and click and read about your results to your hearts delight. I found it easier actually to open up a new tab and type into google ‘______(insert your result or anything you don’t understand that came up on your chart result) ahumandesign.com’, and it will automatically take you to the information page about your specific result with a full deep description about what that means.
